Brú na Bóinne Visitors Centre

The Brú na Bóinne Visitors Centre
located near the village of Donore, Co. Meath is the starting point for guided
tours of Newgrange and Knowth. The large oval stones in the water feature are
330 million year old naturally occurring
concretions which
were discovered on the site of the Visitors Centre.

The Brú na Bóinne Visitors Centre is sensitively blended
into the landscape on the banks of the River Boyne.

The Brú na Bóinne Visitors Centre is on the south bank of the river Boyne, Newgrange and
Knowth are north of the river. For tours of Newgrange and Knowth visitors
cross the pedestrian bridge and are taken by coach to the sites. It is about
a 5 minute walk from the Visitors Centre to the coach pick up point.
